I’ve had a variety of posts recently about relaunching my wife’s website. She is a professional figure athlete and personal trainer who needed a better looking website to match her success. We added WooCommerce, picked a theme, and got everything set up. Here’s one simple tip for folks working with Elegant Themes’ Divi theme. How to adjust that logo size.
We’ve done a variety of changes to the header in our twentyten child theme so far. We’ve learned how to adjust the size of the header image, we’ve made the header image a link, and we’ve allowed for the use of smaller featured images within the header. In this article we’re going to remove the site title and relocate (or remove) the description, since we are using a cool custom header image which already has our site name in the logo. And we will look at the final header code just for a review. This edit is mostly done in css, and it’s quite simple.
Just finished ordering my own VoodooPress shirt. A nice white microfiber athletic shirt. They are for sale in The Voodoo Empire shop, or you can visit the manufacturer’s site to pick your own product or to customize. The link to the manufacturer site is listed in the shop.
Here’s a really simple hook you can use right away. And the results are really fun. Did you know you can theme your admin area in WordPress? Now you can’t make a theme for it per se. But it’s real easy to swap out your own logo and to alter the fonts and colours. I always do this on my themes as I prefer darker colours all around normally. Let’s take a look at how this works.
Yes that is right WordPress fans, VoodooPress has officially went live! We finished off the logo today, we have some great content on here, it’s time to celebrate! The design of the site will evolve still, but that is kind of the point. As I modify things on here, I will post how it was done. We can have lots of fun with WordPress and the TwentyTen theme together! Enjoy the site. Don’t forget to drop us a message on our contact form to ask for help, suggest an article, or just tell us how we are doing.
Are you looking for a place to show off your expertise? We are always looking for contributors too. Show the WordPress community your cool tips, tricks, hacks, or whatever.
Keep your eyes peeled, some time soon we will host a contest or two to give away some cool VoodooPress swag!
We just pinned down the font and colours. Applying the last touches. Our launch happens…… real……. sooon…….
Well, we’ve nearly got the 10 quality posts I was looking for on here. And our logo design is very nearly finished. That should be done within a week. It looks nothing like the little guy we are using currently, however he was the inspiration. Keep your eyes peeled for the official launch. We will have some sort of contest or giveaway after everything is set and I can order some cool shirts or something.
Well, next up on my list of WordPress customizations was my custom login logo. And that means it’s time for our next tutorial! This can go into your functions.php, or if you read our previous post it can go into one of your included files. Mine goes into includes/admin-theme.php. It’s another simple hook, check it out.

Well, thanks to a great effort from my brother-in-law, I have a starting point for a cool logo for VoodooPress. The process will pretty much work out just like the Voodoo Empire logo. I now have a cool drawing, from here I just tweak and play until I get what I want. My goal is to have some cool swag made up before heading out to some WordCamps, etc. I’ve even been considering doing some contests…. on both sites for some cool gear, maybe sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc. So here is the basic starting point drawing, he’s kinda cute eh?
